Default Make Mist Form a Form

As it stands now, [skill]Mist Form[/skill] is an elite enchantment spell that water El's can use. But does it have to stay an enchantment? Since NF added elite forms to the game and mist form is an elilte and has form in the name, maybe it should be made into a Form itself. Water els are the most GP of the el lines so I think it could work. It'd also give water els a butt-kicking elite that can't be easily stripped.

It'd probably have to be rebalanced in terms of energy cost or duration, but I still think it might be neat. If not, maybe the devs could give a Form version of Mist Form for chapter 4. *hint*hint*

Mist Form is underpowered, but making into a Form skill is out-of-place for eles. Besides, this would become a slippery slope; everyone will start whining about how their profession doesn't have a form skill.

i dont think it would effect anything that bad to change it, though i do agree it is underpowered as it can be stripped.

The problem with making Mist or Shadow Form into actual Form Elites is that they would not only be much more powerful, but Anet would also have to create new character models to comply with the Form standards set by the Avatars. And if they didn't, then they would be less cool than the other forms.

Also, I will reiterate how much a Shadow Form Assassin would be overpowered thanks to the unstrippable nature of Forms and the fact that he gets almost unlimited invulnerability thanks to Arcane Echo, Deadly Paradox, and Feigned Neutrality. It would require a nerf, and I don't think any Assassin in their right mind would want Shadow Form to be nerfed, even for an awesome character model change and unstrippability.

I think changing mist form to a form would be great because it is underpowered for an elite and making it immune to enchantment removal would give it a nice buff. It would also be cool if they could add a graphic effect that makes the elementalist appear like a shape of mist. Shadow Form I would have to disagree with because it would be too powerful if it couldnt be removed. I would say change the name of shadow form before changing it to a form.

Maybe you also change looks when you use Mistform and Shadowform

Mistform: you look something like the gostly
Shadowform: you look something like a black gostly (Doppelganger)

yea even though they have form in their names they should stay enchantments due to the difficulty of changing and their nature. i see no problem with them as they are so as the phrase goes "dont fix what isn't broken"

Arcane Mimicry, and that's only usable on other's form elites.

Okay, so we'd lose the enchantment bonuses and the ability to use arcane echo with it... figure that in when you rebalance the skill. Say it lasts 10...20...23 instead of what it currently does.

actually it would also weaken it, if it turns into a "form" then i dont know if arcane echo would work on it as it only works on spells, so there wont be a double use of it, also the 20% longer enchants wont work, and i think arcane mimicry doesnt work on the dervishe's elite forms.

In all seriousness you're just asking for more work because it would fit better with the name. Besides, few use this for PvP anyways because who would it benefit, monks? Elites aren't really the best things for self-defense.

/maybe because it would be cool to see tho

Noooooooo!
I wouldn't be able to use my precious Arcane Echo or Arcane Mimicry on Mist Form no mores.

Would be interesting to test. Mist form could use some sort of buff.

Though both skills have "form" in their name, there's no reason to actually make them Form-Skills.

For the type Forms are EXCLUSIVE for Dervishes, like Glyphs for Elementalists. That will NEVER change. Maybe a new class could use a skill type once exclusive for other classes, but not an already crated class would do that.
It would not be the first Elite that do not follow the standars:
Destructive was Glaive acts similar to an Item Spell, but is a Spell.

If the poblem is the name, just change it to Myst Body, Myst Shape, etc...

For the effect, it could have a 'translucid, foggy model' effect, like the one you see when you aproach the camera by hitting middle mouse button and moving up the mouse.
